We are based in Wellington, frequently work on location throughout the North Island and have ability to operate though-out New Zealand and the South Pacific as required. We are a highly responsive and cohesive local team dedicated to ensuring our core clientele needs’ are catered for 24/7.

 

Key personnel

Lee Steffens
Managing Director

Lee Steffens has an extensive history in the Diving and Marine arena that commenced as a South African Navy Diver in the 1990s, transitioned to the Oil & Gas sector which ultimately led to entering the NZ Construction Diving sector in 2006, where he has been to date, working predominantly in Wellington, however throughout the Pacific if/as required at times. Lee has worked in a multitude of roles throughout his career, including but not limited to:

  • Operational Part 2 Navy Diver,

  • Class 2 Commercial Diver in the Oil & Gas arena for SMIT Marine

  • VLCC Tanker Hookup Supervisor,

  • Diving workshop fabrication, maintenance & servicing technician,

  • ADAS/NZ Part 3 Construction Diver/Supervisor,

  • Skipper (SRL) with passenger endorsement, and

  • Operations Manager (NZ Diving & Salvage/Underwater Solutions).


Dylan Spicer
Operations Manager

Dylan commenced his diving career as a recreational diver for PADI as Dive Instructor, then progressed to the Construction Diving sector.

2 years were spent in Australia working in the Tuna Farms, and the remainder of his 12 years of experience have been working as a Contracting Part 3 Diver/Supervisor for all the Construction Diving Companies within NZ.

Dylan has extensive experience in all aspects of the Diving & Marine Construction sector, and due to his expertise and vast experience, was specifically selected to join the Neptune Diving Management Team. Since joining the team, Dylan has completed his Skipper Restricted Limits (SRL) certificate, with passenger endorsement & flourished in this managerial role.


Jamie Kennard
Diver / Dive Supervisor

Jamie started his career in 2013, spent several years in NZ before heading to the offshore arena where he has gained gained a wealth of international experience. He brings a vast amount of knowledge to our team, including Civil Construction, Welding, PEP pipe welding and installation, plant set-up and maintenance, Hydratight Tensioners and Hydraulic Torque wrench use, subsea inspection, rigging, welding, air lifting, HP water-jet, Working use of all hydraulic hand tools, salvage work, grout bag installation, cement pumping, BROCO cutting, ALST duties, Truck Driving, crane and excavator operation.

Liam Win
Diver / Dive Supervisor

Liam started his career fresh out of school due to his love of diving and has amassed a wealth of experience in all sectors within the Construction Diving Industry throughout New Zealand and the Pacific. Salvages and shipping are his passion & he has complemented the Neptune team with his positive, ‘can do’ demeanour

services include the ability to provide larger, collaborative projects including but not limited to inspection, maintenance and marine diving/construction tasks.
