Lee Steffens
Managing Director
Lee Steffens has an extensive history in the Diving and Marine arena that commenced as a South African Navy Diver in the 1990s, transitioned to the Oil & Gas sector which ultimately led to entering the NZ Construction Diving sector in 2006, where he has been to date, working predominantly in Wellington, however throughout the Pacific if/as required at times. Lee has worked in a multitude of roles throughout his career, including but not limited to:
Operational Navy Clearance Diver,
Class 2 Commercial Diver for SMIT Marine
VLCC Tanker Hookup Supervisor,
Diving workshop fabrication, maintenance & servicing technician,
ADAS/NZ Part 3 Construction Diver/Supervisor,
Skipper (SRL) with passenger endorsement, and
Operations Manager (NZ Diving & Salvage/Underwater Solutions).
Dylan Spicer
Operations Manager
Dylan commenced his diving career as a recreational diver for PADI as Dive Instructor, then progressed to the Construction Diving sector.
2 years were spent in Australia working in the Tuna Farms, and the remainder of his 12 years of experience have been working as a Contracting Part 3 Diver/Supervisor for all the Construction Diving Companies within NZ.
Dylan has extensive experience in all aspects of the Diving & Marine Construction sector, and due to his expertise and vast experience, was selected specifically to join the Neptune Diving Management Team. Since joining the team, Dylan has completed his Skipper Restricted Limits (SRL) certificate, with passenger endorsement
Jamie Kennard
Training Dive Supervisor
Jamie started his career in 2013, spent several months in NZ growing in 2016 he started going offshore and in this has gained a lot of experience internationally. He brings a vast amount of knowledge to our team, including Civil Construction, Welding, PEP pipe welding and installation, plant set-up and maintenance, Hydratight Tensioners and Hydraulic Torque wrench use and maintenance, subsea inspection, rigging, welding, air lifting, HP water-jet, Working use of all hydraulic hand tools, salvage work, grout bag installation, cement pumping, BROCO cutting, ALST duties, Truck Driving, crane and excavator operation.
