Health and Safety
Neptune Diving and Marine Services (NDMS) considers health and safety for all its employees, contractors, clients, community and the environment to be of primary importance. As such the Company will maintain a comprehensive Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) Management System.
NDMS aim is to undertake all operations with zero loss time injuries and zero harm to the environment.
The overall success of the Health and Safety Management System is based on NDMS’ commitment to:
• Provide a safe and comfortable environment for all staff and contractors.
• Encourage employer/employee co-operation and commitment to health and safety.
• Report and investigate all accidents and incidents.
• Identify, eliminate or control all hazards encountered during operations.
• Provide safe, quality equipment and resources for staff and contractors.
• Maintain a “Safety First” attitude within the company.
• Monitor the health and safety procedures through regular auditing.
• Comply with all regulations and laws concerning health and safety at work.
Responsibility and Accountability
The Managing Director is responsible for ensuring the HSE Management System, including this policy, is implemented, reviewed regularly and updated as required.
The Operations Manager and Supervisors are responsible for the communication and demonstration of a Safety First culture, in accordance with this policy and NDMS HSE objectives. They are accountable for the protection and actions of personnel under their authority and will always reinforce safe work behaviours.
All employees and contractors engaged in activities under NDMS’ control are responsible for stopping and reporting unsafe acts and conditions, and for adhering to Company HSE policies and procedures.
